“From launching the Ripple Score to help travellers see exactly how much of their money stays in the destination, to our G for Good social enterprise projects that support community development, we continue to redefine what responsible travel looks like,” says Sara Murphy, regional marketing manager, Canada, on the company’s win for Tour Operator, Adventure. “We’ve also introduced innovative travel styles like Solo-ish Adventures, designed to connect solo travellers with a sense of adventure and community, and the Geluxe Collection, our premium active travel style for travellers seeking active exploration and hands-on cultural experiences paired with comfortable stays.”
New in 2025, the Inspiring Innovation Award reflects the theme of this year’s Agents’ Choice Readership Survey and was introduced to recognize some of the remarkable achievements of Canadian travel companies in the past 25 years.
These achievements have inspired others in the industry – whether they are competitors or agency partners – to reach higher, and further.
“We’re incredibly honoured to receive the Inspiring Innovation Award from Baxter Media,” she continued. “At G Adventures, innovation isn’t just about adopting the latest tech; it’s about challenging the status quo of what travel can and should be — a force for good. Thank you to all our partners for your continued support – here’s to many more years of collaboration!”
“Being selected as the favourite by 7,708 travel agents is an incredible honour. This award means so much because it comes directly from the people who live and breathe the travel industry every day. Travel advisors are on the front lines—connecting with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring every detail of a trip is just right,” added Shannon Cunningham, manager, leisure sales, WestJet Vacations. “To be recognized by them means that our work is resonating where it truly matters: with the professionals who know the industry inside out. It’s a validation of our commitment to service, trust, and genuine partnership. Their vote of confidence tells us we’re making a meaningful impact—and that’s deeply rewarding. This award is significant not just for the recognition, but because it strengthens our connection with the advisor community. It inspires us to continue raising the bar and to keep delivering value, support, and reliability they can count on.”
