The National Association of Career Travel Agents (NACTA) is set to welcome a record 425 registered attendees to its 2015 Annual Conference (Nov. 8-12) in Kona, Hawaii.

According to officials, the healthy attendance numbers track closely with the growth being seen by NACTA itself this year.

“NACTA has had phenomenal growth primarily due to the passion and hard work of our 52 chapter directors in the field,” said NACTA president Ann van Leeuwen. “The NACTA Chapter system has grown by 25% this year. We added 11 new chapters and revitalized four chapters by appointing new directors, and choosing new meeting venues with an eye toward supporting the independent travel consultant.”

This year’s conference theme is “Sharing the Aloha Spirit,” and all sessions are being held at the Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay. Sponsors include the Hawaii Visitors & convention Bureau, Sheraton Kona, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Greater Fort Lauderdale, Holland America Line and ASTA.
