Name switch for Sheraton Keauhou Bay after renos

On Sept. 1, the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa officially became Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay, in a tribute to the extensive renovations now being finished there. Keauhou means “new beginning”in the Hawaiian language and the Kona Coast’s iconic resort is wrapping up an extensive $16-million renewal. Highlights include Rays on the Bay restaurant, room upgrades and new cultural programming. To reintroduce Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa to visitors, the resort is offering a renewal special of just $129 (Mountain View) per night for bookings made by Sept. 30, for stays through March 31, 2013.
