New coach service links AC flyers between YGK and YYZ

Air Canada has announced the expansion of its multi-modal Landline coach service to connect the Norman Rogers Airport (YGK) in Kingston, ON with Pearson International Airport (YYZ) in Toronto.
The new luxury motorcoach service, featuring spacious leather seating and free Wi-Fi, will start operating Sept. 23 with two return trips daily. These are timed for connections to and from flights across Air Canada’s worldwide network.
Customers travelling on the new route between Kingston YGK and Toronto YYZ will get the convenience of a single itinerary and tagged baggage from their point of origin to their final destination on Air Canada. They also get trip disruption protection and Aeroplan earning opportunities, said Ranbir Singh, director of regional airlines and markets for Air Canada.
“This is a premier example of the new opportunities of our growing partnership with The Landline Company,” he said.
“This new Air Canada service allows Kingston travellers to seamlessly book one-stop journeys on aircanada.com from Kingston Airport through Toronto Pearson to Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax and hundreds of Air Canada destinations worldwide, just as they would with a traditional connecting regional flight,” said Nick Johnson, VP commercial at Landline.
Air Canada and The Landline Company have operated intermodal services since May 2024 between Toronto YYZ and John C. Munro International Airport (YHM) in Hamilton, ON and Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF) in Kitchener-Waterloo, ON.
The process for Air Canada passengers who are using the Landline service is to check in as normal at their airport point of origin, have their bags tagged and obtain boarding passes for all segments of their trip. They then board an Air Canada-branded motorcoach and their checked baggage is loaded. Upon arrival at Toronto Pearson, customers proceed directly to the self-service bag drop and then through security.
For the Kingston service launch, many motor coach segments can be booked at no added fee, says Air Canada. The airline is also issuing a fee waiver for customers who want to add motorcoach segments to existing bookings. Customers should contact the Air Canada Contact Centre to access the waiver until Dec. 31, 2025.
