Caroline Bay, Bermuda – the newest luxury destination resort, residential and yachting community – is coming to Bermuda and will include a Ritz-Carlton Reserve boutique hotel.
The newly branded Caroline Bay, Bermuda will be situated on a secluded cove protected by a historic peninsula in the Great Sound in the west end of Bermuda.
The development will feature the Ritz-Carlton property, residences, spa, restaurants, shops and a mega-yacht marina. The new resort community is the vision of Morgan’s Point Ltd.
“After years of planning, it’s gratifying to announce this milestone project,” said Craig Christensen, president and CEO of Morgan’s Point Ltd. “Our intention is to recapture for modern travellers the storied, relaxed glamour of Bermuda during the 1950s and 1960s in ways that feel new, inspiring and are available nowhere else on earth. At the same time, we will celebrate our love of the sea and sailing – both with the upcoming America’s Cup race next year and the future mega-yacht marina for residents and transient sailors alike. Perhaps most important, as a native Bermudian, is that we will share unique insights into our distinctive culture, its art, music and food, while also making a difference in the lives of people who are and will be our future employees.”
Opening in 2018, the Ritz-Carlton Reserve will bring its signature style of luxury to Bermuda for those who appreciate authentic, inspiring, ultra-luxurious experiences. The respite will feature “a contemporary interpretation of British Colonial architecture that conveys a sense of place on a half-mile of beachfront and iron-shore coastline.”
Situated within Bermuda’s Little Sound, the Ritz-Carlton Reserve and Residences include a 79-room luxury boutique hotel with waterfront views, extensive amenities, including restaurants, spa, high-end retail, and a mega-yacht marina with slips for 77 boats and 21 super yachts – all dotted by branded residences along the shoreline.
Amenities also include the award winning Port Royal Golf Course located across the street from the property.
