It’s hard to believe that it has been 18 years since we launched the Agents’ Choice Awards Poll.
The first edition of our annual survey appeared way back in 2000, not as a supplement, but as a special feature in both Canadian Travel Press and Travel Courier, with a total of 660 agents casting ballots for their favourites.
Over the years, Agents’ Choice has grown up, becoming a stand-alone supplement in 2006 as it continued to attract increasing response from the travel agency community and adding categories to better reflect the changing nature of the travel business.
During those 18 years, we’ve learned a lot of lessons, but the biggest of these is that Agents’ Choice is – and has always been – a positive story because it’s about celebrating the personal connections that really define the travel industry in this country and around the world.
