New scenic water tour of Fort Lauderdale launched

Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi has just launched its Premier Sightseeing Cruise, offering visitors and locals a new way to experience the Venice of America from the water.
Departing daily from the Las Olas Landing (Stop F7), the 90-minute narrated sightseeing trip will take guests through Fort Lauderdale’s scenic Intracoastal Waterway aboard one of its Water Taxi vessels.
Guests will see the waterfront mansions, mega yachts and historic landmarks of Fort Lauderdale from a unique on-water perspective. The cruise is designed to provide a relaxing and entertaining excursion for visitors seeking to explore Fort Lauderdale beyond the traditional beach experience.
The Premier Sightseeing Cruise operates three times daily, at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., providing flexible departure choices. Guests get a live narration highlighting the history, culture, architecture and lifestyle that make Fort Lauderdale one of South Florida’s most appealing destinations.
“This new sightseeing cruise is an exciting addition to what we offer,” said Bill Walker, CEO of Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi. “Fort Lauderdale is one of the most beautiful cities in the country to see from the water, and this experience allows both visitors and locals to slow down, relax and take in everything that makes the city so special.”
“We are always looking for ways to continue elevating the guest experience and showcase Fort Lauderdale as a premier waterfront destination,” said Greg Farley, president of the company. “The Premier Sightseeing Cruise gives people the opportunity to enjoy the city’s incredible waterways in a fun, accessible and memorable way.”
During the recent IPW 2026 international travel trade conference, Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi served as a transportation partner, giving delegates a breezy, unique way to see the city’s waterfront. Water Taxi transported IPW delegates to several signature IPW events, offering easy access to the functions while providing views of the navigable inland waterways.
The company’s transportation activations during IPW reflect Water Taxi’s growing role in group and event experiences, offering customized charter solutions for conventions, corporate events and large-scale tourism programming, said Dirsa Garay, groups and charter sales manager. “From customized event transfers to exclusive waterfront activations, the fleet is available for booking by groups seeking memorable Fort Lauderdale experiences.”
Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi operates numerous transportation and touring services on the city’s inland waterways on a daily basis. There are different boat-size options available, ranging from smaller 19-passenger vessels to medium sizes for about 60 passengers, and large boats capable of taking on 200 pax. Prices for a day pass are US$38 and this provides the ability for users to hop-on/hop-off the boats through the day. There are over 30 stops on the Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood Beach routes.
“This is one of the city’s most iconic visitor experiences, connecting guests to the city’s top attractions, waterfront restaurants, entertainment districts and cultural landmarks,” said Farley. watertaxi.com
