Corporate travel advisors who hold membership in Nexion Travel Group gathered in Miami Beach May 17-19 for Corporate CoNexions, an annual custom-designed event that caters to the organization’s top-performing sellers of corporate travel.
Nexion Travel Group members with the majority of their business in corporate travel sales are able to apply to attend the gathering. A select group is then chosen from that pool to participate in the intimate educational program that features content highly tailored to those who sell business travel.
“We continue to see a growing need for educational content that is customized for corporate travel professionals and will provide direct benefit to our advisors who focus on selling business travel,” said Robbi Jumaa Hamida, senior vice-president of Nexion Travel Group. “At Corporate CoNexions, our goal is to give all the attendees information and ideas they can take back and immediately implement in their travel agencies.”
Travel advisors attending Corporate CoNexions were able to partake in a trade show, supplier networking and corporate travel presentations by internal and external experts. Nexion also arranged an afternoon of luxury hotel inspections in Miami, including the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, The Betsy Hotel, the Eden Roc and Nobu hotels, and an al fresco dinner under the stars.
“The weekend is a top-notch symposium on corporate travel,” said Nexion Travel Group member Danny Genung, owner of Harr Travel. “Every year I come away with new knowledge I can put to use for corporate travel selling. This niche can be complex, but the rewards for developing a strategy around it and selling it can lead to great profitability. Corporate CoNexions is a key part of that process.”
