North Vancouver Waterfront Welcomes New Hotel

The Shipyards District on the waterfront of North Vancouver has recently welcomed the new Seaside Hotel to this fast growing leisure, arts and dining area.

The new hotel, by Executive Hotels and Resorts, is comprised of 71 deluxe rooms and spacious suites that boast views of Burrard Inlet and the North Shore Mountains, which are directly adjacent. The newly dubbed Shipyards District is in the historic Lower Lonsdale neighbourhood of North Vancouver – also known as LoLo.

The boutique Seaside delivers world-class luxury and comfort. Each room showcases a reclaimed wood focus wall, marble bathrooms with chrome finishes and large windows that welcome natural light. The public spaces are lined with curated wall murals, natural wood portals and bespoke flooring.

Seaside Provisions, the on-site restaurant, blurs the lines between restaurant, bar and lounge in a style-infused space. It features locally sourced coastal tapas and bespoke cocktails in a place filled with curated art and photography.

Waterfront Spa, which opened in mid-October, offers the latest equipment and extensive training in the most current methods, practice and techniques for personal care.

“As the ultimate seaside retreat for travelers and locals alike, Seaside brings the sophistication and excitement of downtown Vancouver into the relaxed, natural beauty and lifestyle of North Vancouver to offer an authentically local hotel experience,“ said Salim Sayani, CEO of Executive Hotels and Resorts.

With a rich shipbuilding history, the Shipyards District has become a hub of independent shops, restaurants, clubs and specialty food stores. It is a mixed use commercial and community gathering space that is animated by exhibitions and festivals all year round, and that features a winter ice skating rink.
