Nova Star Sweepstakes

Nova Star Cruises Ltd., operator of daily cruise ferry service between Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, and Portland, Maine, has launched its 2015 “Who’s Your Group Sweepstakes,” which will award the grand prize winner free round-trip passage with cabins for a group of 10 people.

Designed to promote Nova Star Cruises’ group discounts for 10 or more adults with five or more cabins all season long, the sweepstakes allows the winner to select nine other travellers for a round-trip cruise on Nova Star – whether it’s for a family reunion, anniversary or birthday party, guys’ or gals’ weekend, or book, wine or any other club.

The winner and accompanying travellers can choose to sail on a round-trip 24-hour cruise (two consecutive sailings), or to spend a day (or days) between sailings in either Canada or the US. Should the group opt to spend extra time in a destination country, the travellers will be solely responsible for any and all related costs for lodging, travel and other expenses.

Entrants can submit on the Nova Star Cruises’ web site at http://www.novastarcruises.com or Facebook page and explain in 25 words or less whom they would like in their group. Entries must be received by July 15, and the winner will be announced on or around July 31. The grand prize is valid for travel anytime during the 2015 or 2016 sailing seasons based on availability. The winning group can enjoy numerous amenities and activities on board, such as live entertainment, arts and crafts, a casino, spa, shopping, restaurants and lounges, and special programs, such as Nova Star’s “Guest Chef” and “Wine Experience and Education” events.

Nova Star began its second season June 1, departing from Portland every day at 8 p.m. and returning each following day at 6:30 p.m. through Oct. 13.
