Opening Up In Aruba

Following the Aruban government’s announcement to reopen its borders to some travellers on July 10, Divi & Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusives has released a reopening plan to welcome guests back to the resorts.

In order to maintain its standards for the well-being of all guests, the resorts will implement a gradual reopening timeline, with Divi Aruba All Inclusive scheduled to resume operations on July 10. Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive’s reopening date is forthcoming.

As part of its reopening efforts, Divi Aruba All Inclusive will provide each guest staying this July or August with a $200 amenity credit, which can be used across four different experiences including excursions with DePalm Tours, car rentals with Hertz, dining and an extensive wine selection at Fusion Restaurant Wine & Piano Bar and golf at The Links at Divi Aruba 9-hole golf course, conveniently located across the street from the resort.

“By gradually reopening our resorts, we will be able to deliver the same extraordinary experience our guests have to come to expect, but with safety top of mind,” states Alex Nieuwmeyer, managing director of Divi & Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusives.  “Over the past few months, we have been working diligently to create new social distancing standards and safety protocols and look forward to welcoming our guests back this July.”

In addition to operations resuming, Divi & Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusives also announced new safety protocols, including the new CLEAN CHECK program, to help improve and maintain a healthy and safe return of guests and team members to the resorts. Highlights of the new safety protocols include enhanced cleaning procedures, touchless check-in, sanitation stations throughout the properties and the resorts’ hallmark CLEAN CHECK program to “further ensure the already high standards for cleanliness. The advanced sanitation measures and social distancing standards will be displayed on each resorts’ website and implemented throughout each resorts’ property.”

One of the new social distancing provisions includes replacing the resorts’ buffet service options with Live Cooking restaurants. Located in the open-air Pelican Terrace and Cunucu Terrace, the Live Cooking restaurants will allow guests to select from a nightly themed menu ranging from Caribbean, Italian, Mexican and even barbeque inspired entrees. Each ordered dish will be prepared live and a la minute, right there in front of the guest.
