PATA

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) will host a Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) three-day intensive sustainable tourism-training program at the PATA Engagement Hub in Bangkok from Sept 15 to Sept. 17, 2015.
Tourism and environmental professionals seeking awareness of global best practice in practical and achievable sustainable tourism are invited to participate.
Mario Hardy, PATA CEO, said: “This is one initiative of the GSTC/PATA partnership and shows PATA’s commitment to promoting sustainability awareness in the tourism industry. As the GSTC has developed a global criteria for sustainable tourism destinations, tours and hotels, PATA is working with them in an outreach program to raise industry awareness.”

The three-day intensive course on Sustainable Tourism targets tourism professionals, hotel managers and engineers, entrepreneurs, destination planners and managers, protected area managers, architects, travel agents, academic and educators, developers, policy makers and regulators, tour operators and tourism certification bodies.
