The well-known hotel company earned a total of 14 awards at the World Travel Awards’ Caribbean & North America Gala Ceremony which was held on Sept. 14, 2013 at Sandals Grande Antigua Resort & Spa. For the 20th year in a row, Sandals was recognized as the Caribbean’s Leading Hotel Brand. SRI’s chairman, Gordon “Butch” Stewart observed: “We truly value the recognition we receive at the World Travel Awards. These awards reflect our unwavering dedication to always providing our guests with the best possible experiences and maintaining top luxury standards within the travel industry.” In 2013, Sandals marked a first, earning top spot in the World Travel Awards’ “Leading Conference Hotel” category. Along with being named Leading Hotel Brand, Sandals Emerald Bay, Great Exuma, Bahamas was also picked as the Caribbean’s Leading Luxury All-Inclusive Resort for the third year in a row.
