It was a bittersweet evening for the Israel Ministry of Tourism last night (June 26) as they celebrated record visitor numbers at a special reception in Toronto, but at the same time bid a farewell to Haim Gutin (second from right), Consul/Commissioner for North and South America, who is leaving his post and heading back to Israel in August. Canadian tourism to Israel is up 16% for the five-month period, January-May. Gutin is pictured with the Canadian team of (l-r) Jerry Adler, Ellen Melman and Ami Allon.
