The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corp says Philadelphia is a great place for vacationing families. “We have great adult and kid-friendly museums and great recreation areas for little ones, like historic Franklin Square, an area close to the historic attractions and a place to blow off energy,” spokeswoman Donna Schorr said. Other city highlights include dozens of themed museums and Schorr said a Philadelphia visit is “easier on the wallet” than a visit to New York City or Washington.
