Emirates Country Manager – Canada, Don McWilliam (l), together with Savio Pires, Emirates Sales Manager, Western Canada were in Vancouver recently to talk about “Hello Tomorrow,” the futuristic theme Emirates is using to describe the service it is providing to travellers. Touting its service options from both Seattle and Toronto via non-stop flights to Dubai, McWilliam pointed out that Dubai is strategically positioned such that 80% of the world’s population lives within eight hours of the hub. It seems that many travellers have discovered this fact too given that on May 8 Emirates reported its 26th consecutive year of profit – US$887 million on revenue of US$22.5 billion. It was also the recipient of the Skytrax 2014 “Most Valuable Airline Brand Worldwide.” (http://www.emirates.com)
