HoJo, Harlem Globetrotters team up to help outHoward Johnson Hotels and the Harlem Globetrotters are out to make Canada a happier place. They will achieve this with the launch of three new initiatives aimed at bringing happiness to Canadian children. The Happy Heroes program will recognize students who have performed acts that have brought happiness to their fellow students or their communities. Winning students will be selected by their school principal and will receive tickets for themselves and their families to a Harlem Globetrotters game and will meet some of the team members. In partnership with the Children’s Wish Foundation, Howard Johnson will be providing tickets for Harlem Globetrotters games to children with life-threatening illnesses. And, in four Canadian cities Howard Johnson will be presenting the Harlem Globetrotters’ “ABCs of Bullying Prevention” program. The program, presented by the stars of the Harlem Globetrotters, teaches the principles of Action, Bravery and Compassion as the keys to preventing bullying. Bullying may not seem like a happy subject, but preventing bullying certainly makes for happier children.
