Icelandair celebrates International Women’s DayToday is International Women’s Day and to celebrate, Icelandair is operating a special flight to and from Glasgow with an all women crew, including pilot and co-pilot. On Women’s Day, June 19, 2001, for the first time in history, the flight crew on international flights to and from Iceland were entirely composed of women. It has happened several times since that date. This morning’s crew included, from left, Rebecca Bergmann Magnúsdóttir pilot, Linda Gunnarsdóttir captain, Brynja Nordquist, Björg Vladimarsdóttir, Jenny Maria Jonsdottir and Hrönn Geirlaugsdóttir, flight attendants.
