Home Pix of the Trade Imagining Kauai

Imagining KauaiTouting the Hawaiian island of Kauai in Toronto Friday was a delegation from that tropical destination, with publicist Emele Cox Freiberg labelling it “the Hawaii you imagine. We’re always surrounded by natural beauty,” she says of a landscape marked by green mountains, beaches and waterfalls and only 3% of which has seen residential or commercial development. Susan Kanoho, executive director of the Kaua’i Visitors Bureau, in turn reported that visitors won’t find the likes of jetskis roaring back and forth, with the destination offering more tranquil water sports, such as kayaking.
