KLM Royal Dutch Airlines recently marked the fifth anniversary of its resumption of service to Calgary by inviting travel agents to a luncheon, and Flying Blue program members as well Facebook fans to a cocktail dinner. The luncheon was held at the Rush Ocean Prime restaurant, where the travel agents got to mingle with representatives from Delta-KLM-Air France and Alitalia. The cocktail dinner took place at the same location and was attended by 100 people. The evening featured various draws, including two Calgary-Europe KLM flight tickets, and also provided guests with the chance to take home souvenir photos.  “In addition to marking this milestone, these events were above all an opportunity to thank the people who have played a role in our success in Calgary, from travel agents to our passengers and fans,” said Femke Kroese, commercial director for Air France KLM Canada. 2014 is a milestone year for KLM in Canada. After marking its five years in Calgary, 40th anniversary in Toronto on April 29 and 65 years in Montreal on May 29, KLM will turn 95 on Oct. 7.
