Terri Jo Lennox (second from right), owner of Travel Time Inc., has received one of Calgary’s most prestigious business awards at Business in Calgary magazine’s annual “Leaders of Tomorrow” gala ceremony that took place at the end of June. Each year, Business in Calgary works with several sponsors to honour 20 of the city’s up-and-coming business entrepreneurs — innovative leaders in their field who have successfully overcome the odds and help contribute to the city’s economic health. Lennox, a single mother of three sons, moved to Calgary in 1997 and opened the first of two agencies in the city the following year. Where the Internet threatened other travel agencies Lennox saw opportunity and, determined not to fail, successfully grew Travel Time Inc. to four full-service agencies — two Calgary locations plus one in Whitecourt, AB and another in Fort Nelson, BC, employing a staff of 25.
