The mood was upbeat during a luncheon hosted by the Jamaica Tourist Board in Toronto last week. Representatives from some of Canada’s leading tour operators — Thomas Cook, Air Canada Vacations, Westjet and Air Transat among others — were on hand to meet with the JTB’s director of tourism, John Lynch and Jamaica Vacations’ chairman, Paul Pennicook. In 2012, the Jamaica Tourist Board was voted Favourite Tourist Board by Canadian travel agents in the 14th annual Agents’ Choice Awards poll in 2012. Jamaica was the Favourite Honeymoon destination.
