Hailing and Hale-ing Connecticut’s history: Connecticut tourism officials showcased their state’s attractions during a Toronto event Monday, with organizers noting that many famed figures – including Mark Twain, author of a Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court among other books– have called the destination home. Seen here are (l-r) Joseph D’Amico and Doug Jacobson, US Department of Commerce; Rosanna Foti, Cross Canada Travel; Jim Dickmeyer, US consul general in Toronto; and Anthony Sargis of the US Department of Commerce, who was sporting an outfit recalling American Revolution hero Nathan Hale.
