More than 100 delegates and preferred partners have just returned Transat Distribution Canada’s third annual Groups Academy, held at the Hard Rock Hotel in Cancun. The week-long training event segmented the members by language preference and level of experience. In addition, dedicated TDC Club Voyage groups team members developed unique business plans specific to their clientele. Classroom training from 18 preferred supplier participants included hands-on workshops, as well as one-on-one coaching sessions. The forum concluded with TDC management providing insights and training focused on key TDC attributes. The high energy of the Hard Rock, where everyone dressed up and partied like rock stars, was complemented with host evenings at the Diamond Suites by Blue Bay, a sunset beach mock wedding at the Moon Palace and a graduation celebration at the El Dorado Royale. Additional site visits were also available. Up next for TDC is its Cruise Academy on Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas from May 5-12.
