Vancouver’s 2016 Bill Rowe Memorial Tourism Award has been awarded to Tourism Vancouver Visitor Centre for its role in contributing to the success and growth of tourism in Vancouver and British Columbia. The team at the Visitor’s Centre provide all guests to the city looking for a place to stay, a local activity or place to eat the information needed to create memorable experiences. During the summer months, Tourism Vancouver also deploys a team of more than 200 volunteer City Hosts, who are positioned in key pedestrian corridors along the Waterfront area to assist travellers on the streets of Vancouver.
