Polar bear rescue centre opens in Winnipeg

The International Polar Bear Conservation Centre has just opened at the Assinboine Park Zoo in Winnipeg. IPBCC will care for, rehabilitate and transition orphaned polar bear cubs rescued in Northern Manitoba. It will feature a multimedia-rich interpretive gallery, which will educate visitors on polar bear awareness. The new facility is a key component of the Journey to Churchill exhibit currently under construction at the zoo. (http://www.travelmanitoba.com)
