Ponant Preferred Partner of Signature Travel Network
French cruise line Ponant has entered into a preferred partnership agreement with Signature Travel Network, a member-owned travel co-operative of more than 7,000 worldwide members from leading retail travel agencies and global suppliers.
The membership became effective on July 16.
Alex Sharpe, CEO of Signature Travel Network noted that, “Signature is pleased to welcome Ponant as a Preferred Supplier. Expedition cruising is one of the fastest growing segments of the luxury market and I know our members and their clients will enjoy working with and sailing onboard Ponant’s growing fleet.”
“We are delighted to enter into this collaboration with Signature as we celebrate our 30th anniversary,” said Edie Rodriguez, Americas brand chairman. “This adds strength to our program of strategic growth, particularly in the American market, as we expand from five ships to 12 by 2021. Our first Explorer ship, Le Laperouse, just launched last week, highlighting that we have the youngest fleet of ships in the luxury yacht expedition cruise space, concurrently with the most experience sailing through unchartered territories.”
As a preferred partner of Signature, Ponant has access to their prestigious network of luxury travel advisors and their discerning clients. In addition to the expertise of Signature’s advisors, Signature travellers will enjoy one-of-a-kind experiences, exclusive privileges and complimentary benefits onboard Ponant.
“Ponant is proud to work with Signature as we showcase our remarkable itineraries and on-board amenities,” said Rodriguez. “Our small ships can go to remote destinations where larger ships can’t venture, resulting in life-changing adventures and experiences. This is what global luxury travellers crave, but rarely find, especially at the high-end level. We are delighted to have our Canadian partners at Cruise Strategies Ltd. work more closely with Signature travel advisors to grow our business together.”
