Reduced tax structure means more commission

When Sunquest launched its Winter 2012-2013 program a couple of months ago, it also introduced a new reduced tax structure that makes a greater proportion of the total package price commissionable. “We continue to be committed to our travel agent partners,”says Steve Butchart, vice-president of Sunquest. “At a time when many tour operators are reviewing distribution costs, we are keen to reward the agents who continue to support us.”In addition to providing agents with more earning potential overall, Sunquest also introduced – and continues to offer – a special EBB on commission that is valid on all new winter bookings made by Oct. 31 – make a booking and automatically earn 10%. Agents are also advised to watch for Sunquest upcoming promotions that will include such offers as “We Pay the Tax”for groups, now extended until Aug. 31, a new “Groups Deal of the Week,”the “We Pay the Fuel”offer on individual bookings and the “Fall’n Prices”promotion that will save clients $300 per couple.
