Remembering Jim Dodd
James Henry Dodd – June 23, 1947 to Jan. 24, 2024 — passed away on Jan. 24, 2024. James was the love of Hope’s life, his wife of 20 years.
Big brother to Bob (Lori), and Joann (Steve) and father to Chris (Jasmine) and Derek (Sylvia), grandchildren Charlotte and Lily.
Uncle to Janna (Chris)and Jonathan, Jessica (Lawrence, Olivia), Natasha (Colin) and Robert (Alex) and great uncle to Charlie and Oscar.
Son-in- law to Carole (Steve), brother- in- law to Todd (Heather) and Uncle to Brandon and Brittney, and great Uncle to Victoria.
Jim spent over 50 years in the Media business starting at the Montreal Star, then to the New York Times, and other publications.
He was a member and board member of the Tourism Association of Canada (TIAC). He travelled the world and played with the band Venture Forth with his lifelong friends, Mike Mahar, Brian Shaw and Bruce Gorman.
Jim will be joining his 3 brothers, Billy, Brian and Tommy and his father Bill and mother Bridget in heaven.
A Celebration of Life will take place in Montreal, Canada late Spring.
