Responsible Travel & Tourism Forum Webinar Series 2012

A fully sustainable travel and tourism industry requires the effort of every agent, every operator, every airline and every traveller working together to effect positive change. Michel Lemay, vice-chair of the Tour Operators’ Initiative for Sustainable Tourism Development, noted in a recent interview with Canadian Travel Press that sustainable tourism, “is not a competitive thing; this is about competitors joining forces to realize something bigger.”And that something bigger is a cleaner, happier, healthier planet. Baxter Travel Media is proud to do its part for a sustainable tourism industry by launching the second annual Responsible Travel & Tourism Forum Webinar Series, which explores the theme of co-operation and collaboration. From understanding the role of travellers and tour operators to defining the current trends in culinary tourism and domestic travel, participants can sign-up for any or all webinars for free thanks to the support of series sponsors Air Canada, Delta Chelsea Toronto, and Ted Rogers School of Hospitality and Tourism Management Ryerson University. Webinars begin Sept. 12 and run through Nov. 28, culminating with the Responsible Travel & Tourism Forum Leadership Awards in late January. For more details and to sign-up, visit http://www.RTTF.ca .
