On The Road For A ‘Sensatori’ Experience

Jamaica’s Prime Minister Andrew Holness and Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett took part in the grand opening ceremonies for the new Azul Beach Resort Sensatori Jamaica by Karisma in Negril yesterday (June 29).

The new 98 suite ocean view property geared at the North American market is situated on Seven Mile Beach, adjacent to and sharing facilities with the existing Azul Sensatori property, which was also expanded for a combined total of 285 suites.

“Jamaica has set aggressive targets to secure 5 million visitors by 2021, generating $5 billion in tourism earnings and increasing the total direct jobs to 125,000 with at least 50,000 new rooms to be built,” said Andrew Holness, Prime Minister of Jamaica. “This is critical to the growth and prosperity agenda, and huge investments like Karisma are key to achieving these targets.”

Karisma Hotels & Resorts has further plans to develop a project called Sugarcane on the island in St. Ann, which would include the first all-inclusive Margaritaville in the Caribbean.

Rafael Feliz, chairman and CEO of Karisma Hotels & Resorts, cited a strong brand name, as well as a great location, hospitality, and connectivity, as some of the top reasons for developing and investing in Jamaica.
