ROUGE TO CHARGE FOR ONBOARD ENTERTAINMENT

Air Canada rouge is advising agents that as of Aug. 1 a $5 fee will be charged for unlimited access to its in-flight entertainment system. Passengers will need to download the Air Canada App to access all in-flight entertainment if using an Apple iPad, iPhone or iPad touch. The app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store. If using a PC laptop, Adobe Flash Player will need to be installed. A limited number of iPads loaded with the Air Canada App will be available for rent onboard aircraft for a fee of $10, plus the $5 fee to access premium entertainment. A pre-boarding checklist will help ensure clients are prepared before boarding their flight: Check in online up to 24-hours before flying at aircanada.com; Download the Air Canada App; Fully charge devices before boarding; Bring a credit card to purchase the in-flight entertainment premium service; Pack headphones or ear buds as they will not be provided onboard; The in-flight entertainment system (also known as “player”) provides movies, TV shows and music directly from a traveller’s device (http://www.aircanada.com/rouge)
