Sail Into The Heart Of The River With AmaWaterways

AmaWaterways has released its 2024 Heart of the River brochure as it sets a course to Europe, Egypt, Asia, Colombia and Africa.

The new brochure is available to order from the AmaWaterways website in print version or download immediately in digital format.

In the year ahead, the company will continue on it path forward with new ships, itineraries and land packages, including the launch of the world’s longest river cruises in Europe, Seven River Journeys, the first-ever major river cruise along the Magdalena River in Colombia, and the all-new culinary-themed Flavors of Burgundy itinerary.

Kristin Karst, executive vice president and co-founder of AmaWaterways, said: “We have a lot in store for 2024 and are delighted to provide travel advisors and their clients with all the details they need to plan the trip of a lifetime. Whether novice or veteran river cruisers, our 2024 sailing season truly has something for everyone, from the history and culture of Europe to the unexplored splendour of Colombia.”

As the first-ever major river cruise line to sail along the Magdalena River in 2024, AmaWaterways is offering guests the choice between two seven-night itineraries, Magic of Colombia and Wonders of Colombia.

Sailing between Cartagena and Barranquilla, both new itineraries take travelers down the only river in the Caribbean region to experience sites and cultural traditions that have been recognized by UNESCO for their outstanding universal value. Offering year-round departures, travelers have unlimited opportunities to uncover the soul and spirit of the “Land of a Thousand Rhythms” through unique and immersive shore excursions, live carnaval performances, local gastronomy, city tours and more – all included within the price of the cruise.

Launching Spring 2024, AmaMagdalena boasts only 30 staterooms while sistership, AmaMelodia, offers 32 staterooms. Travellers can look forward to being warmly welcomed onboard the two ships, where they will find spacious 237 sq. ft. twin balcony staterooms, a heated pool, a fitness room, a nail salon and a new al fresco dining experience, on top of the luxurious amenities AmaWaterways is known for.

Travellers have the option to extend their journey with optional pre-cruise land packages in Medellín and Cartagena, and a post-cruise land package in Panama City, Panama.

On the heels of making history with the longest river cruise experience in Europe spanning 45 to 46 nights in 2023, AmaWaterways will debut an even longer Seven River Journeys itinerary that gives travelers the opportunity to explore an additional country in 2024.

The two 49-night journeys will take travellers on a voyage between the North Sea and the Black Sea. Sailing through 15 countries across the entire European continent, guests will travel along the Rhine and Moselle rivers, through the history-making Main-Danube Canal and cruise the full length of the legendary Danube River including, for the first time, the Danube Delta region. Also, a first for the cruise line, travellers can experience this extraordinary voyage without transferring between ships, as the entire river cruise takes place on board the luxurious AmaMora.
