Saint Lucia Welcomes Air Canada’s Return

Saint Lucia is gearing up to welcome the return of Air Canada service  this fall/winter season. The carrier will be operating direct non-stop service from Toronto (YYZ) to Saint Lucia (UVF) once-a-week starting on Oct. 9, 2022.

In November 2022, Air Canada will increase its flight frequency to 4 weekly flights (Mon/Wed/Thurs/Fri) until Dec. 9.

Additional flights will be added to the schedule for the holiday season with 5 weekly flights until Dec. 18, then increasing to 6 weekly flights until Dec. 25.

In January 2023, Air Canada’s winter schedule will include 5 weekly flights until March 2023, then increase frequency to 6 weekly flights until April 2023.

With the additional non-stop flights from Air Canada, Saint Lucia will offer Canadians 20 non-stop routes from Toronto Pearson International Airport this fall/winter season.

Lorine Charles-St. Jules, CEO of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, said: “We are excited to welcome Air Canada back this fall with direct non-stop service from Toronto. The additional flights will provide Canadians with more viable options to explore our beautiful island. Canada is one of our main source markets, adding to our growth and tourism product. We will continue to drive robust, targeted marketing and public relations efforts in Canada to increase awareness and new routes.”

Air Canada Rouge flights have access to complementary in-flight entertainment streamed to personal smartphones or devices without the requirement to download an app. Premium Rouge customers are offered complimentary use of sanitized iPads containing entertainment content. All flights are operated using the Air Canada CleanCare+ suite of biosafety measures.

As for Saint Lucia’s COVID safety and protocols, there is no requirement for a pre-travel test for fully vaccinated travellers.

However, fully vaccinated travellers must provide a valid vaccination record. Unvaccinated travellers must have a valid negative standard COVID-19 PCR test done within 5 days prior to arrival.
