Sandals Grande Antigua Now Open

As countries around the world begin to open their borders up to international travellers, Sandals Grande Antigua reopened its doors on June 4, 2020 and began welcoming guests, initially from the United States, back to the romantic resort.

Gordon “Butch” Stewart, founder and chairman of Sandals Resorts, said: “We have been highly anticipating this moment and have spent this time strengthening every element of our health and safety protocols with our guests in mind. We are pleased to report that The Ministries of Health and Tourism have certified that we have successfully completed the stringent registration and inspection protocols with flying colours.”

Sandals’ chairman continued: “We are eager to provide that much-needed escape for travellers who have been cooped up and are now seeking a place to relax that gives them the privacy, reassurance and the space they’re looking for. At Sandals, we include everything but worries, so guests can leave those behind and take this time to recharge with the ones they love. That’s our promise.”

All travellers can rest assured that the recently announced Sandals Platinum Protocols of Cleanliness which build on the company’s existing industry-leading practices, will be fully implemented across all Sandals and Beaches Resorts to guarantee guests enjoy their vacation with utmost confidence, from arrival to departure.

As part of this, Sandals has completed a holistic assessment of all points of guest contact to identify eighteen key touch points – starting from the moment guests arrive at airport lounges through the entirety of the resort experience – and further enhance its Triple-Check system for diligent and continuous cleaning and sanitation accordingly.

Additional reopening dates will be announced over the next few weeks, as more countries in which Sandals and Beaches Resorts operate open their borders to international travellers.
