Sandals invites agents to go ‘back to school’

Sandals Resorts is hosting a second series of comprehensive travel agent workshops across Canada this fall. As part of its 30-year commitment to support agents with more training and more ways in which to earn commission, the workshops are open to all Canadian agents seeking to become Certified Sandals Specialists and current CSS agents who need to maintain their status. “During the important fall-winter season, we want travel agents to be equipped with every possible advantage in selling our resorts,”says Maureen Barnes-Smith, director of sales and marketing, Unique Vacations. “Our workshops provide in-depth training on how to sell our three brands and, more importantly, how to earn commission on everything that their clients eat, drink and do while at our resorts.”The workshops will cover a wide range of topics including educational sessions across three brands – Sandals Resorts, Beaches Resorts and Grand Pineapple; new product and partnership updates; sales tips and techniques; marketing tools and co-branding opportunities. All participants will receive a workbook and collateral kit and also receive a certificate upon completion of the workshop. Workshops run from 8 a.m. to noon (with the exception of three afternoon sessions in Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Toronto) and breakfast will be served. Space is limited and agents are asked to register early. A non-refundable fee of $35 is required at time of registration. Agents can register online at http://www.uvisandals.ca/Workshops2012 .
