SeaWorld Orlando debuts its first digitally enhanced ride experience on June 16 as the Kraken roller coaster is transformed into a virtual reality (VR) roller coaster experience with Kraken Unleashed: Virtual Reality Experience.
And, when the sun goes down the night comes to life at SeaWorld’s all-new Electric Ocean, beginning June 17. Guests explore exotic worlds of light and music filled with glowing sea creatures, DJ entertainment and a fireworks display. On June 23, SeaWorld Orlando’s Dolphin Nursery becomes more interactive, giving guests the opportunity to see mother and baby dolphins up close like never before.
SeaWorld San Diego debuts its new Orca Encounter today (May 31). Presented in a documentary-style format featuring a three-story infinity screen, Orca Encounter combines a live orca presentation in a natural setting complete with a rugged coastline backdrop with an enhanced and augmented digital environment.
Ocean Explorer is also open, immersing families in an underwater world of deep-sea discovery. This new attraction combines multiple aquariums, rides and digital technologies designed to engage park guests in an experience centred on exploration and adventure.
Capping off SeaWorld San Diego’s new attractions is Electric Ocean, transforming the above-the-ground park to the look of the deep bioluminescent ocean below.
