Celebrity Cruises is launching inaugural flights from Halifax to Miami as part of an “all included” cruise vacation package.

The flights will depart Halifax Stanfield beginning this Sat., Feb. 7, 2015, and continue weekly for the next nine weeks. Passengers will fly non-stop to Miami and then set sail on a seven night cruise aboard the Celebrity Reflection

Canadian North will provide the non-stop flights from Halifax to Florida. Canadian North also operated from Halifax this past summer with service to Iqaluit.

Joyce Carter, Halifax International Airport Authority president & CEO, commented: “We are pleased to launch this unique partnership with Celebrity Cruises. Providing increased destinations from Halifax and more choice for our passengers is tremendously important to us. Many Nova Scotians head south during our winter months and we’re confident this new multi-modal option from Celebrity Cruises will be a welcomed addition.”

Celebrity Cruises is also offering departures from Moncton, Quebec City, Ottawa, Hamilton and London, Ontario.

Ken Brooks, director of sales, Celebrity Cruises Canada, said: “Celebrity is groundbreaking in bringing the enjoyment of all-included cruising and non-stop flights from select cities across Canada. We are proud to offer our valued guests an early start to their modern luxury vacation.”

Passengers have the choice of either an Eastern Caribbean cruise with stops in St. Thomas (or St. Kitts), St. Maarten and San Juan or a Western Caribbean cruise to Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Jamaica and Labadee.
