Sheraton Centre Welcomes The World For PRIDE

Toronto is gearing up to host World Pride from June 20 to June 29, 2014 and the Sheraton Centre is preparing to roll out the “rainbow carpet” to show pride and welcome the event to the city. During World Pride, Toronto will come alive with parades, concerts, street festivals and community events across the city. The Sheraton Centre Toronto is set to welcome visitors from around the world to celebrate the LGBT community and is located just minutes from Church Street, the heart of Pride activities over the 10 days.

Throughout the month of June the hotel is undertaking a number of initiatives underscoring its commitment to World Pride and the LGBT community:

  • Earlier this month the hotel raised the Rainbow flag outside the hotel and it will remain flying through the end of World Pride.
  • The lobby of the hotel will come alive throughout World Pride with festive, welcoming décor to make guests feel a part of the festivities.
  • Guests at the hotel can enjoy a taste of Pride with colourful signature cocktails including the Nuclear Rainbow all month long at BnB the hotel’s restaurant located on the lobby level.
  • The hotel is the official hotel partner with OutTV, Canada’s only television and online social media portal with programming specifically targeted to the LGBT community.
  • A Platinum Sponsor for the 2014 INSPIRE Awards, an annual event celebrating the contributions groups and individuals have made to the LGBTQ community in the Greater Toronto Area. Staff from the Sheraton Centre will march in the Pride Parade on June 29th with the team from the INSPIRE Awards
  • Official hotel partner of ProudFM, the world’s first and only commercial radio station catering exclusively to the LGBT community
