Silversea has opened general sales for its pioneering 140-day, 62-port, 32-country World Cruise in 2020.
Departing Fort Lauderdale on Jan. 6, 2020, Silver Whisper will be the first ship to visit all seven continents – including the remote, picturesque landscape of Antarctica – on a world cruise.
World Cruise 2020 will include long stays and overnights in many of the world’s top capital cities and spectacular natural wonders – each of which has been selected for its authentic beauty. A first, the cruise will pass through both the Northern and Southern Fjords, enabling travel enthusiasts to witness and explore some of the world’s greatest marvels.
In total, there will be 40 new destinations from the 2018 and 2019 Silversea World Cruise itineraries. Throughout the voyage, Silversea’s Expedition team will be on hand to share their knowledge and expertise, enabling guests to experience destinations with profundity.
From Florida, Silver Whisper will bear southeast, passing through the Caribbean and along the northern shores of South America, stopping at a selection of destinations. Rounding Cape Branco, Whisper will set course for the Antarctica Peninsula, where guests will be able to enjoy guided tours on Zodiac boats. From Antarctica, the World Cruise will transport guests around Cape Horn, through the Chilean Fjords, and towards French Polynesia, where a number of enchanting islands await, including Papeete, Bora Bora, and Vanuatu.
Sydney, Melbourne and the southern coast of Australia precede Bali, Singapore, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Mumbai, among others. Next, the cruise will journey between Mumbai and Rome, navigating the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea. Following the coasts of France, Spain and Portugal, Silver Whisper will then head for Dublin, from where it will visit the Norwegian Fjords, before completing its grand finale in northern Europe. The sailing will conclude in Amsterdam on May 25.
Suites are available from US$62,000 per person.
