Silversea Unveils Wellness-Themed Expeditions
Silversea Cruises has unveiled a new lineup of wellness-themed expedition cruises designed for travellers looking to recharge both mind and body.
The luxury line’s new selection of more than a dozen wellness expeditions, sailing in 2016 and 2017, offer a blend of “enlightening exploration and a holistic approach to rejuvenation.”
The Wellness Expedition Voyages offered aboard the Silver Discoverer are designed to provide guests with the opportunity to improve their well-being while journeying to destinations that are well off the beaten path in Southeast Asia, Australia, Oceania, Africa, and the Indian Ocean. On these voyages, guests will encounter exotic landscapes, fascinating cultures and unique wildlife, returning each day to a ship that is a sanctuary for mind, body and spirit.
Silversea has partnered with Technogym, a leading company in the field of fitness and wellbeing, to create a comprehensive, complimentary program, that includes: Stretching, yoga, and Pilates classes held on board and ashore (depending on location); Fitness classes conducted in the ship’s onboard swimming pool; Choice of one complimentary spa massage treatment; Daily cooking demonstrations and lectures on the benefits of healthy and balanced nutrition; Gym sessions led by personal trainers using state-of-the-art Technogym fitness equipment.
Also featured is a dedicated team of wellness specialists to accompany guests on their journey to better health. The team includes fitness lifestyle expert Natasha Eksteen, yoga instructor Jenni Kauppila, and nutritionist Dalila Roglieri.
