Ski Vermont Casts The First Snowflake

ski-vermont-daily

Ski Vermont and a team of representatives from the state’s various ski resorts called in Toronto last night (Oct. 13) as part of Toronto ski week activities.

With the news that snow making had already begun at at least one venue (Killington), with the hopes of opening by Halloween, the group uniformly expressed devotion to the important Canadian market and Southern Ontario, in particular, which is an approximately seven-hour drive from the hills.

With packages and programs appealing to beginners, experts, families and kids, there is something for everyone in Vermont, they noted, while Phil Tortora of Vermont’s department of tourism added that “there is so much to do [in the state], if you don’t want to spend a a day on slopes…”

Brad Cicero of Porter Airlines noted that the carrier’s program to Burlington, Vermont, from Toronto begins Dec.22 with twice weekly service through March 28.

He added that resort and ski packages could be added through Porter Vacations.
