Something New From 50 Degrees North

50 Degrees North has introduced a new 7-day summer tour — Scenic Norway — to its collection of independent small group tours to Norway. Each of these tours are unique in the way that 2 to 12 independent travellers traverse exceptionally beautiful, yet hard-to-reach areas of Norway in the comfort and safety of a shared 50 Degrees North minivan with an experienced driver.

Scenic Norway explores a breathtaking part of Norway, the Northwestern fjord region, starting from Ålesund and traveling to Kristiansund via Valldalen and Åndalsnes.

This is a stunning part of Norway that many tourists do not get to see, because it usually requires a private car or joining a big coach tour. However, with 50 Degrees North, travellers can relax and enjoy the incredible scenery as the minivan driver navigates two of the most famous Norwegian Scenic Routes: The Trollstigen Road with its eleven magnificent hairpin turns on a steep mountainside and the Atlantic Highway, famous for its twisting bridges over the coastline. Enjoy hiking alongside dramatic mountains, vast valleys, deep fjords, and historical Norwegian farmland while staying in beautiful boutique hotels with fjord and mountain views.

Tietse Stelma, the CEO and co-founder of 50 Degrees North, said: “The motivation behind our selection of minivan tours is to share these amazingly beautiful, but hard-to-reach regions of Norway with travelers and to encourage travel to less crowded areas. This style of travel also brings together the sense of freedom inherent in independent travel and the security and social benefits of group travel.”
