Speakers Announced for Travel MarketPlace

Travel MarketPlace has announced the first group of speakers who will be featured during the travel industry forum, which returns to Toronto May 2-3 at the Sheraton Centre in downtown Toronto during Travel Agent Week.

The program will feature the following speakers: Ron Cates, international director, Digital Marketing Education, Constant Contact, sharing tips and insight on the importance of e-marketing and successful engagement strategies; Steve Gillick, Talking Travel: Global Travel Training Solutions, will host two sessions “Specialists and Super Specialists” and “Terroir Tourism” (pronounced Terr-wah) which explore the traveller’s connection to the land; Vanessa Mcgovern, EVP business development and strategic partnership, Global Institute for Travel Entrepreneurs (GITE), will share how to create lead conversions by building an engaging marketing strategy that aligns with your niche.

Gary Gzik, CEO of BizXcel and an international presenter, trainer and consultant, will offer a session entitled: “Build a Kick Ass Organization.” Ian Johnson is president of OutNow and will host a session with practical solutions for developing an integrated and successful LGBT strategy. Kelly Mwila, founder and CEO, Alaska to Africa Travel, will share how to broaden your corporate travel offering by leveraging current relationships and how to offer unique trips to this profitable market, while Emily Baillie, principal at Compass Content and social media expert, will discuss tactics and best practices for using social media tools to build customer loyalty and attract new clients.
