Starwood adds two in Manila

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide plans to introduce its two largest brands – Westin and Sheraton – to two new multi-billion dollar integrated entertainment complexes in Manila, the bustling capital of the Philippines. Starwood will manage The Westin Manila Bayshore, scheduled to open in mid-2016 as part of the Resorts World Bayshore in the Entertainment City development in Parañaque; and Sheraton Manila Hotel in the Resorts World Manila development located in Newport City, Pasay. The Sheraton Manila Hotel is slated for opening in early 2017. The opening of the two hotels fuels Starwood’s growth trajectory in Asia Pacific. The company is the region’s largest upper-upscale and luxury hotel company; it currently operates more than 230 hotels in Asia Pacific with plans to reach 400 operating hotels in the region by 2016.
