Sunquest’s winter 2012/2013 now on sale

Sunquest’s Winter 2012/2013 program is now live in the system and ready for sale… this year with a refined hotel offering and dedicated flying with WestJet. “This year marks a turning point for Sunquest, a renaissance of sorts,”says Steve Butchart, vice-president of Sunquest. “We have worked diligently to put together a program that really sets us apart – from our hand-picked hotel line-up, of which 94% are rated four stars and higher, to our flying with WestJet, I am delighted with the quality of our overall product offering. He added, “Additionally, we continue to be committed to supporting our travel agent partners and to demonstrate that, for Winter 2012/2013 we are not only introducing a new reduced tax structure that makes a greater proportion of the total package price commissionable, but we are also featuring a launch offer of 10% commission on every new winter booking.”To take advantage of the special EBB on commission, agents simply need to book any Winter 2012/2013 package by Oct. 31, and they will automatically earn 10%. “At a time when many tour operators are reviewing distribution costs, we are keen to reward agents who continue to support us,”said Butchart. For customers, Sunquest is also launching a new Price Drop Guarantee valid on all new package bookings made by July 31 for travel between Dec. 19 and April 30. This one-time price drop guarantee is available 21 days outside of departure and to a maximum of $400. Commission is protected on the original rate and full payment is due at the time of the adjustment. Sunquest’s flying program is also greatly enhanced this year, offering 10% more flights compared to last year, including more frequency on certain key routes, better flight times and more flexible durations. With departures out of 14 Canadian gateways, Sunquest is also offering more flexible duration packages out of more cities. Not only are the standard seven- and 14-night packages available, but three and four nights (to Nassau), and nine-, 10-, 11- and 12-night packages to Jamaica, Cancun, Punta Cana, Aruba and Costa Rica as well. In terms of resorts, this winter’s refined offering also sees the return of Sunquest’s popular Club programs – Sunquest Plus, Elite and Family First, along with the successful Club Diamond at Bahia Principe. The ‘Plus’ Clubs, of which there are 10 this winter, have been further developed and are now comprised of Sunquest’s best 4-star and 4-star plus resorts; the 12 ‘Elite’ Clubs are reserved for the best of the best – 5-star quality and higher – to ensure the ultimate in luxury experiences; and the 17 ‘Family First’ Clubs are the resorts with the best programs for kids, along with a number of other value-added inclusions available exclusively to Sunquest guests. The Club Diamond resorts at Bahia Principe continue to be available exclusively to Sunquest guests, offering a combination of “small resort feel and big resort fun.”(http://www.sunquest.ca , http://www.thomascookagent.ca)
