Commenting on Sunwing’s new service, Chris Wood, general manager at the Region of Waterloo International Airport, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Sunwing back to Waterloo Region for their eighth season. Punta Cana is one of our top international destinations, and the addition of Sunwing’s direct weekly departure will provide a great option for guests looking for a winter escape.”

Sunwing’s president for tour operations, Andrew Dawson commented: “We are delighted to be able to offer direct flights from the Waterloo Region to Punta Cana this coming winter. Our sunshine flights have been well received by travellers from the Waterloo Region for the past seven seasons and we are sure Punta Cana will prove a popular choice this year.”
