Just in time for Valentine’s, Sunwing Vacations will introduce its new flight service departing from Buffalo to Punta Pana beginning on Feb. 14.

The new route gives vacationers departing from Buffalo this winter an opportunity to experience one of the Dominican Republic’s most attractive tourist destinations. Known for its white sand beaches, water sports and golf facilities, Punta Cana offers a range of resorts designed to suit couples and families alike.

“With the introduction of this convenient, Saturday service to Punta Cana, Sunwing has given Ontario residents another strong reason to fly from Buffalo this winter. You can board a flight in freezing temperatures and find yourself soaking up the sun in just over four hours,” says Andrew Dawson, chief operating officer for the Sunwing Travel Group.

Last year almost two million Canadians flew from Buffalo and that number is expected to increase with Sunwing offering convenient vacation packages from there.

“We welcome the addition of a second Sunwing flight service this winter. It’s gratifying to see… vacation packages to Punta Cana in addition to the Cancun service that began last month. It’s clear we provide the value and convenience Canadians are seeking from an international airport so close to the Ontario border,” says Pascal Cohen, senior manager Aviation Marketing for Buffalo Niagara International Airport.

A week at the Memories Splash Punta Cana is available from $1,035 plus $170 tax per person based on two adults sharing a Deluxe Room at Memories Splash Punta Cana and departing from Buffalo on either April 25 or May 2.
