The Meitheal workshop (2 days) and Meet The Buyer workshop (1 day) will facilitate approximately 18,000 scheduled appointments with over 400 overseas trade partners.

Trade partners from over 18 countries are represented including, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland & USA. Many tour operators participate in familiarization trips throughout the island of Ireland before and after attending the workshops.

Dana Welch, Tourism Ireland’s manager, Canada, said “Travel agents and tour operators continue to be an important booking channel for Canadian holidaymakers. A key element of our strategy is working closely with the travel trade, both online and offline, in Canada. Meitheal and Meet The Buyer provides the contacts, opportunities and platform to highlight the many incredible experiences Ireland has to offer, while continuing to build on our relationship with partners.”
