Taste of St. Croix Set For Nov. 15

St. Croix’s Caravelle Hotel & Casino is partnering with the United States Virgin Islands Department of Tourism and the Taste of St. Croix, Inc., to bring the 18th Annual Taste of St. Croix, “A Culinary Showcase” to Christiansted on Nov. 15.

The event highlights St. Croix’s culinary industry, and the Caravelle Hotel & Casino is offering a “Taste of the Town” package created for the evening. This year’s Taste of St. Croix will be a culinary block-party with more than 30 restaurants, chefs, farmers and fishermen from around St. Croix “showcasing gastronomic masterpieces crafted using locally sourced ingredients.”

Rather than the culinary competition that attendees have enjoyed in the past, the 18th annual event commemorates St. Croix’s culinary community’s revitalization after hurricanes Irma and Maria and its readiness to support St. Croix’s hospitality industry in the upcoming 2019 tourist season. Guests will be treated to live entertainment on the main stage and tastings of wine, beers and spirits, in addition to dishes to sample. A VIP reception kicks off the festivities and after-parties will be held throughout the historic town of Christiansted.

Details and tickets are available at https://www.TasteOfStCroix.com.

A landmark in Christiansted for more than 50 years, the 42-room Caravelle Hotel & Casino is a sponsor of the celebration and is offering a special Taste of the Town package.

The overnight package costs $390 for two guests and includes accommodations, two tickets to the Taste of St. Croix event and a bottle of rum from one of St. Croix’s finest distilleries.
